Muakelani means "good neighborhood" in Bithonga, one of the local languages spoken in the area.

Matapa is a delicious and fragrant combination of young cassava leaves, coconut milk and peanut cream. Matapa has its route in Inhambane province, and it is now enjoyed everywhere in the country making it one of the most preferred national dishes. Try it during our Traditional Local Dinner!
